You play as a witch named Bayonetta who is sent to hell by an angry God for her crimes. The only way to get out of hell is to recall everything that has happened to her and to defeat the evil forces that are chasing her.
To do that, you must go back to the place where all of this started, the city of Vigrid. You will be guided by the spirit of the dead witch who will help you and will teach you the secrets of the city.
Once you get there, you will have to fight the forces of evil, including the army of the angels.
