Forgotten gem
With an exclusive release on the previous generation of consoles plagued by notorious slowdown and FPS issues, Bayonetta was always considered a flawed classic from the designers behind Resident Evil and Devil May Cry stuck in the past. This new PC version fixes all of the issues with improved optimization and custom graphical options, fulfilling the potential the game always had. Bayonetta is a game somewhere between an action scroller and a hack and slasher. Players input combos, build gauges and perform special moves with the fallen angel's guns and swords. The story ranges from the ridiculous to the corny focused around a light-hearted style. While it certainly isn't for everyone, fans of Devil May Cry and other speedy action titles will find serious gameplay beneath the crazy fashion and characters.
Ultimate release
Bayonetta is a game that was always waiting for a dedicated PC port. This new version is an improvement in every single way and is the new standard. The style will certainly discourage fans and prove too much of a stumbling block to delve any deeper but under all the madness is a real great game.
